Some Cool Pictures From Yours Truly

So, I noticed I haven't done cool pictures in forever.

Yep, so this post is all about cool pictures. :)

This..... is a cool compass. :)

THIS. SHIP. IS. SO. PRETTY!!!
Wow, that's kind of dark, but I believe that that's a library.
You've seen this one before on Dragonmaster, eh? ;)
That's..... huge.
Can you imagine having this in your house??
I just like this one. :)
If I could paint that good, believe me, I'd be famous by now. (haha) =D
I would not want to be lost there.... just saying..... ;)
Wow. That's pretty. *shivers a-tingling*
Ahhhh........ fresh air.....
You can bet I wouldn't go there unless I was surrounded by friends.
Pretty..........
I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!!!..... and I would love it even more if the painter dude hadn't painted a person into it. :)
More forest........

That's all for now!!

All of these are from Google images (except for my signature). Most were found by the following search words: picture of old compass; picture of old library; picture of magical forest; picture of misted lake; picture of woods; picture of old ship.

The Rain of Dressing

Dear Readers,

I came into school Monday morning with expectations and new hopes...... hopes that hopefully Noah didn't actually punch anybody and that there was going to be another football game the next Friday night.

But what happened I didn't expect--like AT ALL.

So I walk in and all of the kids are buzzing in a group. I frowned and walked over, wondering what on earth was going on. When I approached, a girl by the name of Marjorie, "Margie", quickly ran over to me and squealed,

"Summer's actually from California!! Isn't that like awesome?!"

I frowned. "Summer? Who's Summer? And why's she from California?"

Margie rolled her eyes like "what a dummy you are". "Summer's the new girl that just arrived!! And she's from Cal--"

"Yeah, I heard that," I interrupted quickly. "Is that why everybody's in such a buzz?"

"Just listen," huffed Margie. "And from Orlando, Florida, came Maurice Mendoza..."

"So, wait." I held up my hands. "There're two new kids? And they're like from California and Florida...?"

"Yes!" shrieked Margie.

I had to see these kids for myself. I pushed through the crowd and saw that in the middle of the buzz were two kids. The girl was small and petite with luscious, shining blonde hair and bored-looking blue eyes. She wore so much makeup that I was almost wasn't sure if she actually looked like that. Now, makeup isn't bad, and sometimes (very rarely) I wore like mascara for some dress-up nights. But this was ridiculous!

I glanced at the boy. He had curly black hair and dark eyes. Frankly, he looked like he was from Spain or Italy or something and he thought that he was the hottest snot on the earth. I didn't like the look of either of them.

Ugh.

I came to school the next day, and Maya was running around handing out invitations. She even gave one to ME.

"What's it for?" I asked in surprise.

She got that snooty look. "Why, I've invited everybody--including Maurice and Summer--to my house for a party!" she smiled. "Hope you can make it, Jessie!" and then raced off down the hallway, handing the invitations out to everybody.

I looked at my own, and then back at her. Oh, great.

Mom was more than happy to take me to the party. I didn't wear Maya's dress that she'd given me (it was still in the box, in fact), but wore a nice party dress like the invitation suggested. I had no hope of seeing Noah at the party, since he was like grounded (I'm pretty sure, at least).

"This will be great," Mom smiled at me. "Maybe you can witness to them and they'll all become Christians."

I sighed. "Mom, that would be really awesome, but I doubt it's going to happen."

She sighed, too, and focused her eyes on the road. "I suppose you're right."

We finally reached Maya's house. OK, so it wasn't a house. It was a mansion. It was huge, with all of this expensive stuff. Parked outside on the tiles surrounding the fountain was a corvette and a Jaguar. *creepy* Mom stopped by the door and I hopped out.

"Bye!" she called, driving back off for the gate that led out onto the road.

I walked up the ornate steps to the huge double doors. Before I could even knock the door burst open and pop music burst out. A butler was standing in front of me. I glanced around him and saw kids dancing with a disco spraying colors all over the walls. Everything was like topo expensiveo.

"Are you Miss Bender?" he questioned.

My head snapped back to the butler. "Oh, yeah. Here's my invitation." I quickly handed it to him.

He nodded and let me in (he probably would've let me in without an invitation, considering that Maya liked to brag so much). I quickly dodged the dancers and started towards one of the many refreshment tables. It was around lunchtime, and I'm not one of those people who eats like birds. When I'm starving, give me a big mac, people!!!

The only real "good" thing was like a salad. I quickly poured it onto a paper plate and looked around for some Italian dressing. I'll only eat it with Italian dressing. All I saw were all of these really like expensive dressings that looked like puke in a bottle.

I sighed.

"Hi, I'm Maurice."

(Pause for a sec: you're probably wondering why I always get introduced to people. Really, it's not my fault. I know it's weird. OK, Play!)

I turned and there was the snotty hotty from Florida. I managed a smile and a, "I'm Jessie," (you think I was going to tell HIM my last name?!) and glanced around as if I was already busy. But he went on.

"Are you looking for something?"

"Actually," I started, "I was looking for some Italian dressing....."

Maurice clapped his hands and a waiter appeared. If I had blinked it would've looked like he'd appeared out of no where.

"Miss Jessie would like some Italian dressing," he ordered.

The waiter nodded and took off. A few minutes later (it seemed like seconds) he was back with the dressing on a platter. I gratefully took the bottle off the tray.

OK, so I've heard it before--ALWAYS CHECK TO MAKE SURE THAT THE CAP IS ON SECURELY BEFORE YOU SHAKE. But I'd thought it was new. If I'd looked, I would've seen that it was already opened. I would've seen that the last person who'd opened it had been too careless to shut it.

But, I didn't. And I shook it. The cap flew off and and Italian dressing flew everywhere, completely covering Maurice and all of the nearby dancers.

"Yuck!" somebody shrieked.

I'd escaped without having gotten myself all covered.

"I'm so, so sorry!" I cried, handing Maurice a napkin.

He was trying to compose himself. "No, it's fine," he said.

Then he walked off. Probably to change.

I hid for the rest of the party underneath Maya's steps.

But when I got home, I couldn't help but admit that it was pretty funny. :)

Love,
Jessie

Mascot Mania

Dear Readers,

Yes, this is Jessie. (I would think you would know, as Storyteller as yet to call you dear haha.) =D (but you're dear to me because you read this and I can tell you do when you comment or just vote on a reaction.)

So after Noah's housed got crashed/trashed, I didn't really see Noah a lot in school. I mean, I did. But he was always way busy. I think his parents grounded him. I have yet to find out if he threw a punch. I hope he didn't. But how knows? Guys are SO unpredictable. Even if they're like your post friend that you've known for forever. (or your brother. They're unpredictable, too. And dads. Well, sometimes dads.)

Guess what!!!!!! I turn thirteen on September 20th!!!!!!! I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll make sure to post and show some pictures and make sure to tell you everything that I got. (I. AM. SO. EXCITED. Can you tell?????)

(note from Storyteller [she asked me to post it, so I'll just post it in her words]: When I started the Jessie Bender series, it was still summer, and technically there's not school then, but I'm just going to kinda stick with school. Imagine that Jessie's school starts like a month early. End of quote from Storyteller. What kind of a person talks about me behind my back?? [from Storyteller: haha]). :D

So, I don't know about you, but a lot of these blog design changes are making me kind of dizzy. I LOVE all of them, but they keep on changing and changing and changing...... Storyteller told me it's just because it's so much fun and everything that she can't help it. Sometimes I wonder.......... ;)

So. I know Storyteller's post was pretty boring (yes, I read it). :) So, I've decided that I shall reveal the very funny thing that happened to me.

Story mode:

Noah's football coach decided that since I'd acted so well as the mascot (in other words: they didn't yet have another mascot), they wanted me to be the mascot at the game on Friday. Great, I know. Mom was all for it. Dad was all thumbs-up. I was all "UGH!"

So, Friday rolled around (OK, so it was yesterday). :) Mom drove me to the football game, and whether she didn't want to see her daughter stink as a mascot or she wanted to get some work done, I don't know, but she drove off again and left me there, burning hot in my Spartan suit.

"Jessie!" Noah ran up to me. "Thanks so much for doing this. Coach was about to kill somebody if we didn't have a mascot tonight." He fidgeted.

"What?" I prodded.

"OK," he sighed, "I admit it. The cheerleaders all got sick or had something to do. So you're going to have to fill in for them. You know. Like encourage cheering and do weird stuff to make the crowd laugh."

I think my jaw dropped. I stared at him. "You're not serious," I said.

"Yeah, I'm afraid I am," he answered. Noah's eyes begged. "Please?"

As I didn't really have a choice, I agreed. Noah grinned and ran me over to the football field. The game was about to start. Noah ran off for the benches and left me standing on the track that surrounded the field, staring up at the huge stadium filling with people.

Noah really couldn't be serious.

The stadium filled, the time ran out, and the game started. Our team quickly scored a point. I glanced over at Noah, who was urging me to encourage the crowd.

I sighed. OK, they didn't know who I was (unless Noah had blabbed). I was inside of a Spartan suit. I could just be weird and they wouldn't even know it. Yeah, that's it. Just be weird. Have some fun. Go, Jessie. Just do it!!!!

I ran along the side of the stadium and yelled in my deepest voice, "GO SPARTANS!!!", while I encouraged the crowd with my hands to make some noise.

The game went on. I just totally went off, acting all silly and encouraging the crowd. It was so weird. They actually cheered when I told them to. (mahahaha!! Supreme control!!! JK hahaha) =D

And then finally the game was over.

Mom game and picked me up. I got into the car and threw off my helmet, declaring, "I'm NEVER doing that again!"

"That bad?" Mom answered with a smile.

I didn't answer. But I was smiling.

Love,
Jessie

A big swirl and some [kinda] boring stuff

I know I've said this before but I LOVE YELLOW. I especially like those swirls over there. The orange just kind of makes it pop. =D What do you think?

OK, OK. I know you guys liked the other template. But I had a revelation last night about something like this (though it was a little bit different, but that's OK).

Sooooo......... it's Saturday. You wake up late. You eat a warm breakfast that your mom makes for you (if you still live at home, because otherwise you're probably going to make yourself a cold bowl of cereal and be WISHING that you were still living with your mother and there was some warm sausages and eggs sitting on a plate in front of you instead of the dread Lucky Charms and 2 percent sitting and getting soggy in a bowl as you read this and almost spit out your milk on the computer screen). :)

So, what's late for me? Well, this morning's late was 6:45 (OK, not that late, right?). But I read for an hour in bed. So that turns to 7:45 (still not that late for a Saturday, but anyway.......).

So....... what's up?

How do you guys like Jessie Bender?

What's your favorite kind of blog design?

;)

P.S. I bet this is really boring. Sorry. :)

I Have Survived the Ultimate Test

Yes, I have survived the ultimate test!! And what is this ultimate test? I'll give you a few clues:

1. Because of it, my arm's sore.
2. I'm kinda scared of the things that deliver them.
3. They hurt.
4. They help to defend against diseases.

And what is this dastardly thing?

......................

A flu shot!! Yes, a flu shot. I have survived yet another year of this horrible thing, with which a needle is poked into your innocent and unknowing arm, after which pain shoots up, and then the needle is taken out. Symptoms that follow are soreness and aching. OK, so it's not that bad. :) And, yes, I have survived another year!! Lucky me. =D

OK, so I guess the Ultimate Test isn't surviving a flu shot. :) I'd say the ultimate test is whether or not you believe in Christ Jesus as your personal Savior. But, still, I have survived. Sorry, Jesus, for worrying about a needle.

So.............. today I babysat (it was older kids, way easy). And they just left a little while ago. So how's your day going??

I would really love to know what you thought of me!!! Click here and tell me what you think of when you think of me!!!!! (like what kind of person) The results so far are great. :) Thanks to everybody who told me!!!!

Later gator!!
